Butler moved level on points with Burns after a narrow victory over Gladman. Gladman was in confident mood and enjoyed long periods of possession. Just before half-time, however, a careless error cost him the only goal of the game. Burns still leads due to superior goal difference but Butler has two games in hand. Elsewhere the Handicap Cup got underway. Phee, Day and Houston progressed to the next round but Burns and Corr will have to play again. The Second Round draw was made.
