The draw was made for this season’s Glasgow Cup. There are four groups, three of three and one of four. Two players will qualify from each group.

 

Group One: Dave Houston, Martin Phee, Kenny Jones and Colin Berry

 

Group Two: Willie Fleming, Tom Burns and John Halpin

 

Group Three: Dave Gladman, Dave Butler and Colin Day

 

Group Four: Ronnie McKenzie, Baver Bari and Barry Corr

Kenny Jones has only taken part in one club tournament and he won it! Here he is being presented with the Handicap Cup by Colin Day whom he defeated in the final.

 

 

 

The draw has been made for the first two rounds of this season’s Association Cup. In World Subbuteo this is one of the oldest trophies still being played for. Traditionally the final is played on the last club night of the season. There are three first round ties. Corr should be favourite to win against Hegedus although only one goal separated them in their last meeting. Day has lost twice to Butler this season and has yet to score against him. Berry and Bari have played once in the league and neither player was able to score. In round two it is difficult to pick a winner between McKenzie and Houston and Burns always finds it difficult againt Gladman.
